Read a Text Message
► Do one of the following:
▪ On the Messaging screen, tap the text message or message thread to open and read it.
▪ If you have a new message notication, slide the status bar down to open the
Notications panel. Tap the new message to open and read it.
To return to the Messaging screen from a text message thread, tap Back
.
Tip:
To see available options menu for a text message, tap (Starter mode) or tap and hold
(Standard mode) the text message.
Tip: In Standard mode, to call a phone number or open a Web page link in a text
message, tap the text message to select the options to proceed with the action.
View a Multimedia Message (MMS)
1. Tap >
Messages > Messaging.

Apps
>
Messaging.
2. On the Messaging screen, tap a multimedia message or message thread to open it.
3. Tap the attachment to open it.
Tip: To save the attachment, tap (Starter mode) or tap and hold (Standard mode) the
message, and then tap Save attachment on the options menu.
Note:
When Auto-retrieve in MMS settings is disabled, only the message header is
downloaded. To download the entire message, tap the Download button at the right
side of the message. For details, see Text and MMS Options on page 92.
Reply to a Message
1. Tap >
Messages > Messaging.

2. On the Messaging screen, tap a text or multimedia message thread to open it.
