Mobile Indicators
Mobile indicators allow you to check your friend’s device.
Check Friends’ Devices
You can see which phones your friends are using to chat in Google Talk.
● If “On mobile device” appears under your friend’s name, it indicates that your friend is
using an Android phone.
● If an email address is displayed, it indicates that your friend is using a computer.
Display a Mobile Indicator
You can choose to show a mobile indicator along with your name to let your friends know
the type of wireless device you are using.
1. On the friends list screen, tap > Settings.
2. Tap your account name and check Mobile indicator.
Sign Out
Follow the steps to sign out from Google Talk.
► On the friends list screen, tap > Sign out to sign out from Google Talk.
Google Talk Settings
You can manage the Google Talk settings as you like.
1. On the friends list screen, tap > Settings.
2. Tap your account name and tap any of the following to change the settings.
▪ Mobile indicator: Select to allow your friends to see the type of wireless device
you are using. See Mobile Indicators on page 98.
▪ Away when screen off: Select to show your status as away when the screen is
turned off.
