● NFC: Tap to enable the NFC feature to share content with another NFC-capable
device. See Near Field Communication (NFC) Technology on page 168. Tap again
to disable it.
● Eco Mode: Tap to enable Eco mode to save battery life while using your phone. Tap
again to disable it. See Eco Mode on page 160.
Enter Text
You can type on your phone using one of the available touchscreen keyboards.
Touchscreen Keyboards
Your phone offers you a choice of two touchscreen keyboards for entering text. The
keyboard appears automatically onscreen when you tap a text entry eld, and they can be
used in either portrait or landscape mode.
The methods available include:
● Kyocera keyboard lets you use QWERTY keyboard and Phone keypad to enter text.
See Kyocera Keyboard on page 29.
● Android keyboard lets you use a traditional QWERTY setup to enter text. Additional
options expand your ability to enter text faster and more accurately. See Android
Keyboard on page 36.
Note: Kyocera keyboard is selected as a default keyboard.
To select a keyboard from Settings:
1. Tap >
Tools
or Apps >
Settings > Language & input.
2. Tap Input > Input method (Starter mode) or tap Default (Standard mode).
3. Tap Kyocera keyboard or Android keyboard.
To switch the keyboard when a keyboard is displayed:
1. Slide the Notications panel down and tap Choose input method.
2. Tap Kyocera keyboard or Android keyboard.
