Call a Number in a Text Message
While viewing a text message, you can place a call to a number that is in the body of the
message.
1. Tap >
Messages > Messaging.

Messaging.
2. Tap a thread and tap the text message with the phone number. In Starter mode, then
tap Call [phone number].
3. The Phone screen then opens, with the phone number automatically lled in and
ready to be dialed. To place the call, tap

Call Emergency Numbers
You can place calls to 911 even if the phone screen is locked or your account is restricted.
To call the 911 emergency number:
1. Tap or on the screen.
2. Tap 911 and then or .
To call the 911 emergency number when the screen is locked:
1. Tap Emergency call on the screen.
2. Tap 911 and then or .
Once an emergency call is placed, your phone will be in Emergency mode for the following
ve minutes after the call where non-emergency calls cannot be made.
To exit Emergency mode immediately:
► Tap >
Exit Emergency mode > Yes.
Enhanced 911 (E911) Information
This phone features an embedded Global Positioning System (GPS) chip necessary for
utilizing E911 emergency location services where available.
