 To reset shortcuts to their default settings, highlight a shortcut, and then press the
Right soft key [Options] for options:
• Reset Shortcut (1, 2, 3, or 4) to reset the highlighted shortcut.
• Reset My Shortcuts to reset all shortcuts.
Set Directional Keys
From the Home screen, press > Settings & Tools > Phone Settings > Set 1.
Shortcuts > Set Directional Keys.
Select UP Directional Key, LEFT Directional Key or DOWN Directional Key and 2.
press [SET].
Select the desired option and press [SET]. 3.
 To reset Directional Key shortcuts, highlight a shortcut, and then press the Right Soft
Key [Options] for options:
• Reset (UP, LEFT or DOWN) Key to reset the highlighted shortcut.
• Reset Directional Keys to reset all shortcuts.
Set Programmable Key
Press the programmable key on the side of the phone. If a message appears to ask 1.
whether you assign a function to the key, select Set Now and press [OK].

From the Home screen, press > Settings & Tools > Phone Settings > Set
Shortcuts > Set Programmable Key.
Select the desired option and press [SET]. The assigned function works when you 2.
press the programmable key.
External Key Lock
Use this feature to lock the external keys to prevent accidental key presses.
Set Keyguard Timer
From the Home screen, press > Settings & Tools > Phone Settings > External 1.
Key Lock > Keyguard Timer.
