Google Maps Operations
Viewing Current Location: From the Maps app, tap . A blinking blue arrow indicates your
current location on the map. This feature is available when the location setting is enabled. See
Location Settings.
Obtain Useful Area Information for Current Location: From the Maps app, tap the Search
field, enter the information you are looking for, and then tap a result to view it.
View Traffic Information, Aerial Photos, Etc.: From the Maps app, tap and then tap Traffic,
Satellite, Google Earth, etc.
Check Route to Destination: From the Maps app, tap , enter your current location and your
destination, tap a method of transport (car, public transit, or on foot) to see available routes.
Check Detailed Operation for Maps: From the Maps app, tap > Help.
Google Search
Search information saved on the phone and in phone applications as well as on the Internet.
Use Google Search
Type search terms in the Google Search bar to find information on your phone and around the globe.
1. From home, tap the Google search bar or tap Apps > Google .
The Search window opens.
If confirmation appears, follow onscreen instructions.
If a description for Google Now appears, tap GET STARTED and read information. Tap YES,
I’M IN on the last page if you want to use Google Now.
2. Type your search keywords, and tap a matching result on the drop-down list, or tap Search .
To search by voice, tap in the search bar and speak your search terms.
Google Search Operations
Changing Search Information: In the search window, tap > Settings > Phone search and
select where to search.
Use Google Voice Search
Use your voice to search instead of typing, with Google Voice Search.
