3. Touch and hold the app and drag it to a home screen thumbnail where you want to add it.

The shortcut is added to the home screen.
Add Widgets to the Home Screen
You can add widgets to your phone’s home screen. Widgets are self-contained apps that display on a
home screen. Unlike a shortcut, the Widget works like as an onscreen application. There are all kinds of
widgets, including links to a specific contact, Internet bookmarks, Facebook
®
status windows, Gmail and
email accounts, and many others.
1. Touch and hold the background of any home screen.
2. Tap WIDGETS and choose a widget.
3. Touch and hold the widget and drag it to a home screen thumbnail where you want to add it.
4. Release your finger.
The widget is added to the home screen.
Add Folders to the Home Screen
You can group home screen shortcuts into folders for convenient access.
Create folders
1. From home, touch and hold a shortcut you want to place in a folder, and then drag it on top of
another icon.
2. To name a folder, tap the folder, and tap the Unnamed Folder field to bring up the keyboard.
Type a name for the folder and tap OK.
A new folder is created.
Add more app shortcuts to the folder
■ Touch and hold a shortcut and drag it on top of the new folder.

1. Tap a folder icon and tap in the top right corner.
2. Slide the screen to browse through the available apps and place checkmarks on those apps you
want to put in the folder.
3. Tap OK.
The new shortcut is added to the folder.
