Open an Application with the Voice
Dialer
1. From the Home screen, tap Apps
>
Voice Dialer.
2. When prompted to speak, say “Open
[application name].”
Open a Settings Menu with the Voice
Dialer
1. From the Home screen, tap Apps
>
Voice Dialer.
2. When prompted to speak, say “Open
[settings menu name].”
Text-to-Speech Settings
1. From the Home screen, tap Apps
>
Settings > Language & input.
– or –
From the Home screen, tap Apps
>
Settings > Accessibility.
2. Tap Text-to-speech output.
3. Select your preferred engine (for
example, Google). The following
options are available:
Speech rate to select a speed.
Speech pitch to select a tone.
Listen to an example to play a short
demonstration of the set speech
synthesis.
Default language status to view the
status of language support for voice
recognition.
Voice Search
1. Tap on the Google Search Bar.

From the Home screen, tap Apps
>
Voice Search.
2. Speak clearly into the phone’s
microphone when Listening… is
displayed on the screen. If an error
occurs, try again.
3. Tap a matching item from the onscreen
list.
Bluetooth
Turn Bluetooth On or Off
1. From the Home screen, tap Apps
>
Settings > Bluetooth.
2. Tap the ON/OFF switch to turn
Bluetooth on or off.
Note: Turn off Bluetooth when not in
use to conserve battery power, or in
places where using a wireless phone is
prohibited.
The Bluetooth Settings Menu
► From the Home screen, tap Apps
>
Settings > Bluetooth.
Turn Bluetooth on to search for other
visible in-range Bluetooth devices.
Tap and choose from the following
options.
