When the optional fax kit is installed, the message be-
low appears. Perform the appropriate action by follow-
ing the message.

Misfeed in left cover 2 (JAM 18, 22)
If the message below appears, a misfeed has occurred in the left
cover 1. Remove the misfed paper using the procedure given
below.
Open the left cover 2.

Close the left cover 1.
Press the [START] key after the “Press Start Key. Re-
starting.” message appears.
The message below appears.
Repeat the steps 1 to 6.
The message below appears. Perform the appropriate
action by following the message.
