Selecting Ringer Types for Messages
1. Press MENU/OK > Settings/Tools > Settings > Sounds > Ringer Type > Messages.
2. Select Message, Voicemail, Voice SMS or Email.
Select Default Message, Contact Entries, or Unknown #s when Message or Voice
SMS is selected.
Select All Contacts or One Contact when Contact Entries is selected.
3. Select an option and press MENU/OK.
4. Select an available ringer and press MENU/OK.
Selecting a Ringer Type for Alarms, Power On/Off Tone, or Scheduled Events
1. Press MENU/OK > Settings/Tools > Settings > Sounds > Ringer Type.
2. Select Alarm, Power On, Power Off, or Schedule.
3. Select an option and press MENU/OK.
4. Select an available ringer and press MENU/OK.
Selecting Vibrate Types
You can select vibrate types for incoming calls, messages, alarms, and scheduled events.
1. Press MENU/OK > Settings/Tools > Settings > Sounds > Vibrate Type.
2. Select Incoming Calls, Messages, Alarm, or Schedule.
Select Default Vibrate or Unknown #s when Incoming Calls is selected.
Select Message, Voicemail, Voice SMS, or Email when Messages is selected.
3. Select a vibrate type and press MENU/OK.
Alert Notification
Your phone can alert you with an audible tone when you change service areas, a call has been
connected, there are messages, or your network signal is fading, as well as once a minute
during a call.
1. Press MENU/OK > Settings/Tools > Settings > Sounds > Alerts.
2. Select Beep Each Minute, Out of Service, Connect, Signal Fade/Call Drop, or
Messages and press MENU/OK.
3. Select Message, Voicemail, Voice SMS, or Email when Messages is selected, and set
the frequency and the length of the alert.

Select On or Off and press MENU/OK when other options are selected.
Selecting a Key Tone
You can select the audible tones accompanying a keypress.
1. Press MENU/OK > Settings/Tools > Settings > Sounds > Keytones.
2. Select an option and press MENU/OK:
Tone Length to select a key tone length (Short or Long). This setting is valid when
Tone Type is set to Type 1. (Longer tone lengths may be better for tone recognition
when dialing voicemail or other automated systems.)
Tone Volume to select a keypress volume level.
Tone Type to select the sound of a keypress (Type 1 or Type 2).
