Security
Accessing the Security Menu
You must enter your lock code to view the Security menu.
1. Press MENU/OK > Settings/Tools > Settings > More… > Security.
2. Enter lock code.
Tip: If you cannot recall your lock code, try using the last four digits of your phone number.
Using Your Phone’s Lock Feature
The lock can be unlocked by entering your lock code.
Locking Your Phone
This feature locks your phone’s functions apart from the calls to and from 911 and special
numbers. Other incoming calls can be also received depending on the setting.
1. From the Security menu display (See “Accessing the Security Menu” above.), select Lock
My Phone.
2. Select Lock Now or On Power-up.
3. Select an option:
Full Lock allows calls to and from 911 and special numbers (See “Using Special
Numbers’ on the next page.) only.
Excep. Incom. Calls allows all incoming calls as well as what Full Lock does.
Note: Calls only to emergency numbers will be allowed when Voice is set to Locked in Restrict
and Lock (see “Locking Voice Calls” below).
Unlocking Your Phone
1. From standby mode, press UNLOCK (left softkey).
2. Enter your lock code.
Changing the Lock Code
1. From the Security menu display (See “Accessing the Security Menu” above.), select
Change Lock Code.
2. Enter and re-enter your new lock code.
Locking Voice Calls
Your voice calls will be locked except to and from 911.
1. Press MENU/OK > Settings/Tools > Settings > More… > Restrict and Lock.
2. Select Voice and enter your lock code.
3. Select Lock > Locked.
