Hearing Aid Compatibility (HAC) Function
Your phone has been tested for hearing aid device compatibility and related. (See “Using
Your Phone With a Hearing Aid Device” on page 63.) To use this function effectively, set
the hearing aid setting to on.
1. Press MENU/OK > Settings > Others > Accessibility > Hearing Aid.
2. A message appears. Press OK (left softkey) to continue.
3. Select On or Off.
Phone Setup Options
Navigation Key Shortcuts
You can use the navigation keys as shortcuts to access specific menu items directly from
standby mode. You can reassign the default shortcuts to the menu items you choose.
1. Press MENU/OK > Settings > Others > Navigation Keys.
2. Highlight a navigation key direction (Up, Down, Left, Right) and press MENU/OK.
3. Using the navigation key or your keypad, highlight a shortcut and press ASSIGN (left
softkey). ((If there are additional levels available, press MENU/OK before selecting
your shortcut.)
Call Answer Mode
Select how to answer incoming calls on your phone: whether you want to be required to
press TALK, or any number key (except END, BACK, softkeys, and side keys) or simply
to open the phone.
1. Press MENU/OK > Settings > Others > Call Setup > Call Answer.
2. Select Talk Key, Any Key or Flip Open.
Auto Answer Mode
You can set your phone to automatically pick up incoming calls with an optional hands-free
device or in speakerphone mode. Remember, your phone will answer calls in Auto Answer
mode even when you are not present.
1. Press MENU/OK > Settings > Others > Call Setup > Auto-Answer.
2. Select Hands-free or Speakerphone and press MENU/OK.
3. Select either 5 Seconds, 15 Seconds, or Off and press MENU/OK.
Setting the Keyguard
This feature enables you to lock side buttons while the phone is closed.
1. Press MENU/OK > Settings > Keyguard.
2. Select On or Off.
Note: This feature does not apply when the phone is off.
Tip: You can deactivate this feature temporally by pressing and holding the side camera
button while the phone is closed.
