. If the flame in your torch becomes extinguished, shut off the gas immediately and wait until yo u are certain the gas has cleared away before relighting. IV. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS A. Models 156, 163 and 164 To rches with Pilot Safety Control Valve 1. Read all Safety Instructions and follow L. B. White recommendations when installing this torch. 1. Fully depress the button on the pilot safety control while applying flame to the pilot orifice. 2. Keep the button depressed on the safety contro l until th thermocouple warms up so the pilot stay s lit after the control button is released. 2.

VIII. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS, SPECIFICATIONS AND PARTS SELECTION Model 156 1. Connect one end of hose to adapter at torch inlet. Tighten securely. 2. Connect other end of hose to adapter at regulator. Tighten securely.

Model 164 This torch is completely assembled and tested by the factory prior to shipment. Assembly is not required. IMPORTANT The Model 164 natural gas torch requires a maximu m of 15 PSIG and a minimum of 10 PSIG at the inlet of the regulator to achieve the 7 PSIG outlet pressure necessary to obtain rated heat output. Make sure your natural gas utility is capable of supplying this pressure to the inlet of the regulator.
