I. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS – BATTERY INFO.
1. INSERT BATTERIES IN RECEIVER.
a. Note: Before every battery change, turn off the Remote Rain’s water
supply at your outdoor faucet and then remove the unit from the faucet.
Tip: Clean metal contacts with a clean cloth when replacing batteries.
b. Insert 4 “AA” batteries as pictured inside receiver case.
2. Key fob battery (included).
a. The key fob runs on an A23 battery. With average use, this battery
will only need to be replaced every 2-3 years.
II. ATTACH REMOTE RAIN RECEIVER TO FAUCET.
1. Firmly attach the coupling nut on your Remote Rain to your faucet.
III. ATTACH HOSE TO REMOTE RAIN RECEIVER
1. Firmly attach your hose (with sprinkler or nozzle attached if desired) to the
Remote Rain receiver outlet.
IV. TURN FAUCET ON
V. USING KEY FOB
1. Fully extend antenna on key fob.
a. Stand within 100’ of Remote Rain receiver.
i. NOTE: Operation through walls or solid objects will reduce the
operating range of the Remote Rain to under 100.’
ii. NOTE: Point antenna straight up for maximum distance.
b. TO TURN ON: Push key fob “ON” button and hold for 3 seconds.
i. Light on key fob will flash 2x to indicate water has been turned on.
c.
TO TURN OFF:
Push key fob “OFF” button and hold for 3 seconds.
i. Light on key fob will stay lit for 2 seconds to indicate water has
been turned off.
d. Safety Feature: Remote Rain will automatically shut water off after 3
hours of use. After 3 hours have elapsed, you may press the key fob “ON”
button for 3 hours of additional watering time.
VI. CHANGING CODES
Your Remote Rain has 4 settings (codes). It comes pre-set from the factory to
match your key fob setting (similar to a garage door opener remote).
If you experience interference with neighboring units, etc., you may
change the setting by changing the code. (Brad/Scott: Please explain
how to adjust.)
