CAFÉ software
1. Download the latest CAFÉ software from www.labgruppen.com
2. Execute the installer and follow the on-screen instructions. This is a typical software installation where the
default settings are acceptable for the vast majority of users.
13.2. Network setup
Network connections/topology
The following diagram shows a typical setup with Tesira software running on a PC. A Tesira server has separate
network ports for control and AVB but D Series has these combined into one port.
Network conguration
Tesira devices are congured by default to obtain IP addresses automatically. The Tesira device will receive an
IP address automatically from a DHCP server (if present) or assign itself an IP address in the Link local range
(169.254.1.0 through 169.254.254.255). If a computer is congured the same way (which should be default on
modern operating systems), it will reside in the same subnet as the devices and communication can be established.
13.3. System setup
The setup guide describes how to get a simple system up and running, connect audio through to the amplier,
and make basic congurations of the amplier. This guide assumes you have a Tesira FORTÉ or Tesira Server
IO with an analog input card, a D Series amplier and an AVB switch. To pass audio through the system you
will also need a signal source and a speaker. The server, AVB switch and amplier must be connected to the
network and AC power.
