10.1. Amplifier Outputs
The amplier outputs utilize mating Phoenix-type connectors. Connect loudspeaker cables to the mating plug-in
connectors observing polarity (including bridge mode option) as marked on the rear panel connectors. See
Section 15 for connector rating.
10.2. RJ-45 Ethernet Connector
Connects to the network switch and carries AVB audio as well as control and status data to and from the host
computer running Tesira software and/or CAFÉ. The product requires connection to an Ethernet AVB enabled
switch. Cable must be Cat-5e or better, and cable length from amplier to switch (or repeater) must be no more
than 100 meters.
10.3. RS-232 and GPIO ports
10.3.1. Introduction
Several D Series Tesira control and fault monitoring features can be accessed via the RS232 or GPIO (logic) ports
on the rear panel. These features may be implemented through connection to a Tesira server, or to a compatible
third-party AV control system. The ports are active when the D Series Tesira unit is powered up (ON or STANDBY)
or in sleep mode; the ports are inactive when AC line power is removed manually or by external power sequencers.
