27. Firmware Update
27.1 Backup System Configuration and Presets
While every effort is made to retain all settings in the device during the rmware upgrade procedure, it is
highly recommended that the following steps are followed:
1. Open the previously used version of the Lake Controller software.
2. Tap YES when asked “Do you want to recall the last conguration?”
3. Store the current system conguration using the old version of the Lake Controller.
4. Open the previous of the associated Preset Manager and store all Presets that are contained within all
Lake devices on the network.
5. Proceed to section 27.2 and update the device rmware.
27.2 Updating Firmware
The Lake Firmware Update Utility provides a fast rmware upgrade procedure for small or large networks
of Lake devices. The rmware bundle includes all internal components of rmware needed for the device,
including Dante rmware; no additional update is required.
Follow the steps below to upgrade your device:
1. Install the latest version of the Lake Controller software.
2. Power on all devices, and connect using a wired network.
3. Select the Lake Firmware Update Utility via Windows START > PROGRAMS > LAKE CONTROLLER
By default, this utility is located in a folder labeled: Lake Controller vX.X > Firmware Update Utilities
4. Select the platform to update from the dialog that is displayed as shown in Figure 27-1.
