Figure 8-15: PLM+ and D Series Dante Transmit Enabled
When the TRANSMIT OUTPUTS button is active (orange), all Dante channels will be advertised on the
Dante audio network as available channels for any other Dante receiver to use for its input/s. In addition, this
screen provides MULTI/UNI options for each channel, and output channel labeling functions as shown in
Figure 8-16. To the right is AES67 transmit information available for applicable models. AES67 transmit ows
are congured in Dante Controller and are view-only in Lake Controller.

Multicast / Unicast Setting
The MULTI/UNI options provide the ability to identify whether each channel will be congured as multicast
(i.e. many devices receive a connection to the same audio ow), or congured as unicast (i.e. each device
receives a separate point-to-point audio ow).
Use alphanumeric characters (uppercase or
lowercase) and the “-” character only. DO NOT use
any other characters, especially @ . =
It is important to use Multicast when a particular
channel is distributed to three or more receivers;
this ensures optimal bandwidth usage and Dante
network stability.
Set to multicast before enabling the transmit outputs option if it is known that three or more receivers will
subscribe to this channel. AES67 transmit ows are Multicast only.
This parameter is synchronized between the Lake Controller and the Dante Controller.
