15.3.1 Virtual Frames
Virtual Frames can be used while working ofine. A Virtual Frame provides the same functions as online
Modules; Module les can be recalled, stored, copied and pasted, and the Virtual Frames can be stored as
part of a system conguration.
The virtual frame folder contains all congurations of Lake-enabled products to allow for ofine congura-
tion:
Figure 15-3: Virtual Frame Icons
To use Virtual Frames, perform the following steps:
1. Tap the Virtual Frame icon that you require. The cursor will represent the relevant number of Module
icons.
2. Place the Virtual Frame in the work area. The majority of functions are available, enabling full ofine
conguration.
Virtual Frames do not have a device identier, and therefore a replace function is used to assign the Module
to an online Lake device.
Refer to section 4.3 for details about Contour and Mesa Modules.
15.3.2 Replacing Virtual Frames with an Online Device
The MODULE STORE/RECALL or COPY/PASTE/REPLACE functions can be used to transfer the data from
a Virtual Frame to an online Frame.
Individual Modules created ofine can be stored as Module les and recalled into an online device.
Ofine system congurations can be stored and recalled, and then each Frame can be replaced with an
online device.
Please refer to section 8.4.3 for detailed information on the REPLACE FRAME functionality
