Preset Manager
27. Preset Manager
The Lake Preset Manager Utilities are provided as separate applications for each Lake device. These utilities
operate on any PC with a Microsoft Windows XP or above, and a standard Ethernet network interface.
For further details about presets, please refer to section 7.10 of this manual.
Using the Preset Manager utilities, a sound engineer can easily manage the presets that reside on the
device. Presets can be created, named, copied, locked, and transferred across multiple devices of the same
type and may also be set to exclude the recall of Frame labels and Dante device names when a preset is
recalled.
Presets may be stored into PC les (called bank les) for backup or transfer purposes; these les have
different le extensions depending on the device type.
There are two Preset Manager utilities, one for each range of Lake devices:
▸ Preset Manager (PLM, PLM+ and D Series)
▸ LM Series Preset Manager (LM Series)
PLM+ and D Series presets are cross-compatible
between devices in these product ranges. Other
product Presets are specific to each product.
At least one Lake device must be connected to proceed with this tutorial. This tutorial assumes the use of a
factory-reset device; if necessary, please refer to your associated product operation manual for information
on how to restore the factory conguration.
