8.2.10.5 IP Address Cong
This eld is set by default to AUTO - ZERO CONF. It can also be set to AUTO - DHCP (if a DHCP server is
used) or to a FIXED IP ADDRESS. If in DHCP mode without a DHCP server, the device will auto select an
IP address just as in Auto Zero Conf. PLM+ and D Series devices have individual conguration for Lake and
Dante. The power must be cycled on the Lake device to complete the change.
This hardware parameter is unaffected by SYSTEM RECALL,
FRAME REPLACE, FRAME PRESET RECALL or FRAME
CONFIGURATION and SOFT RESET options.
This parameter is changed only via this screen and via the FACTORY RESET option from the front panel of
the device.
8.2.10.6 IP Address
The Internet protocol (IP) address identies which device is sending or receiving information. The power
must be cycled on the Lake device to complete the change. For PLM+ and D Series devices, there is
a separate Dante module with its own IP address. When in AUTO or DHCP, it is possible to see the IP
addresses currently used by the device. The Dante IP address specied is what can be seen in an online
Dante Controller.
For the PLM+ and D Series, both the Lake and Dante IP addresses must be on the same subnet to enable
Dante conguration via the Lake Controller, and to enable full rmware update of both components via the
Lake Update Utility. If the IP Address of the Lake component is set to a xed IP address, it is recommended
that the Dante component is changed to the Lake address + 1.
If the FIXED IP ADDRESS option is selected as described in 8.2.10.5, this eld becomes editable and an IP
Address may be entered manually. When a device has Dual Redundancy enabled and the FIXED IP ADDRESS
option is enabled, it is possible to manually enter the IP address for the secondary network as well. For the
PLM and LM Series, the IP address of the secondary network is always in AUTO on the 172.31.x.x subnet.

8.2.10.7 Subnet Mask
The subnet mask is used for IP address routing; the default setting is 255.255.0.0 when
AUTO - ZERO CONF is selected. The power must be cycled on the Lake device to complete the change.
