9.7 XP Module [PLM+ and D Series only]
Lake-enabled ampliers (PLM+ and D Series) support the XP Module type, which incorporates a combina-
tion of FIR and IIR technology. The extensive FIR lters can be used to create both crossovers and driver
EQ. The phase can be absolutely controlled, rendering linear phase, minimum phase, or arbitrary phase
lters. The IIR lters can be used to create classic crossovers and specic driver EQ. The module also in-
cludes a pre-output EQ which are IIR lters (includes ALL-pass) which are separated from the XOVER view.
The XP Module also includes an optional Multiband Limiter on each of the outputs.
Figure 9-14: Array Optimizer EQ view
The XP Module is prepared for Array Optimizati
on capabilities using both FIR and IIR. If there are Array
Optimization settings sent to the module, this can be viewed from the Array Opt” button in the XP
signalow.
Any Array Optimization data is stored in a System le, but storing a module where Array Optimization is
enabled will not store the Array Optimization data.
There is also an option to congure a latency when bypassed. This creates a consistent latency in the system
with and without Array Optimization. The Latency when bypassed setting is stored in the Module le.
It is also possible to disable the Array Optimization capability for the XP module. When congured for
“Not capable, the module will not be available in the optimizer software and in the statistics view it will be
displayed in the “Not capable” section.
The XP module does have a lot more features which cannot be controlled or
congured via the Lake Controller. A plugin API is available for the
Lake Controller which offers control and conguration for everything. Please
contact Lake support if you are a loudspeaker manufacturer and would like more
information and the complete SDK.
