24. External Control Interfaces
This chapter describes the options for interfacing with Lake devices from external controllers and interfaces.
Functionality is often product specic; please refer to the relevant product operation manual for additional
information.
24.1 GPIO (LM Series Only)
LM Series devices provide General Purpose Input Output functionality (GPIO) allowing interface with
external systems. Unlike the other forms of external control described in this chapter, GPIO provides full
conguration options via the Lake Controller or via the front panel of LM Series device.
▸ For information on conguring GPIO via the Lake Controller, please refer to section 8.2.3 on page 129 of
this manual.
▸ For information on conguring GPIO via the Front Panel of the LM Series device, please refer to the
Front Panel Interface chapter of the LM Series Operation Manual.
▸ For information on GPIO hardware, including a pinout reference, please refer to the Back Panel Interface
chapter of the LM Series Operation Manual.

24.2.1 DLM Protocol
The Direct Lake Messaging third party protocol (DLM) is provided for all devices except MY8-LAKE, allow-
ing integration with external control and monitoring applications such as AMX and Crestron. Please email
support@lakeprocessing.com to obtain DLM Control Protocol technical information.
The extensive function control list includes:
▸ Frame & Module labelling
▸ Adjustment of Module input gain, delay, mute, phase and label
▸ Adjustment of Module output gain, delay, MaxRMS & MaxPeak limiters, mute, phase and label
▸ Input conguration, Iso-Float & AES Termination controls
▸ Standby power control, factory reset options
▸ Preset Recall (all devices)
