4.4.3 Ideal Graphic EQ
A unique innovation found in all Lake devices is the Ideal Graphic EQ. Conventional analog and digital
Graphic equalizers do not provide intuitive results. For example, pulling up the faders on a conventional
Graphic equalizer to boost 6 dB at 500; 630; 800; 1,000; 1,250; 1,600; and 2,000 Hz produces the frequency
response shown in Figure 4-34.

This measured frequency response is not what you would expect from the Graphic EQ controls.
If we use the Lake Controller GEQ overlay to boost 6 dB at 500; 630; 800; 1,000; 1,250; 1,600; and
2,000Hz, the frequency response is shown by the at top trace in Figure 4-35.
