At launch, LaCie Shortcut Button will search for
LaCie Shortcut Button-compatible drives and display
them in the drive list. See A in Fig. 3.6.4.A (Mac) and
3.6.4.B (Windows).
If no drives can be detected on the USB or FireWire
bus, the list will display “No drives connected.” See B in
Fig. 3.6.4.A (Mac) and 3.6.4.B (Windows). Check your
drive’s connections and make sure it is turned on. If the
problem persists, see section 4, Troubleshooting.
TECHNICAL NOTE: eSATA bus is not com-
patible with LaCie Shortcut Button. To use LaCie
Shortcut Button, connect your LaCie hard drive to
your computer via USB or FireWire.
