Installation on a Microsoft Hyper-V server
The following describes the requirements and steps to successfully install a
LANCOM vRouter on a Hyper-V server.
Requirements
Following requirements must be met to successfully install the LANCOM
vRouter on a Microsoft Hyper-V server:
A The LANCOM vRouter is available as a VHDX file.
A Microsoft Hyper-V is running on a server with the Intel XEON processor
with the AES extended instruction set (Intel AES-NI) and hardware virtu-
alization (Intel VT-x).
A The virtual machine must meet the following minimum requirements:
A 1 virtual x86 CPU
A 512 MB RAM (recommended for vRouter 50 and vRouter 250)
A 1 GB of RAM (recommended for vRouter 1000)
A 3 GB of RAM (recommended for vRouter unlimited)
A 512 MiB hard drive memory
A 1 – 5 virtual network adapters
Installation
The following steps describe how to put the LANCOM vRouter into
operation.
1. Start the Hyper-V Manager.
2. Create a new "virtual machine" and follow the wizard’s instructions.
