WARNING
IMPROPER INSTALLATION, ADJUSTMENT, ALTERATION,
SERVICE OR MAINTENANCE CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR

PROPANE TANK FUEL WARNINGS
1. If you see, smell or hear the hiss of escaping gas from the
propane cylinder, do as follows:
A) Disconnect propane gas cylinder.
B) Do not attempt to correct the problem yourself.
C) Get your gas supplier and/ or the fire
department for help.
2. Use only PROPANE gas. Do not use natural gas. The
conversion or attempted use of natural gas in a propane
unit is dangerous.
3. This outdoor firebowl is for use with a 1 lb. propane
fuel cylinder. The propane cylinder must be constructed
and marked in accordance with the specifications for Gas
Cylinders of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) or
the National Standards of Canada, CAN/CSA-B339, cylinders,
Spheres and Tubes for Transportation of Dangerous Goods
and Commission, as applicable.
4. For use with cylinders marked with PROPANE only. Do not
connect to a remote gas supply.
5. The gas pressure regulator provided with the outdoor gas
firebowl must be used.
6. Do not attempt to disconnect the gas regulator or any gas
fitting while the outdoor gas firebowl is in operation.
7. A dented or rusty propane cylinder may be hazardous and
should be checked by your gas supplier prior to use.
8. Do not use a propane fuel tank with a damaged valve
or any other worn out parts.
9. Do not store a spare or disconnected propane fuel tank
near this outdoor gas firebowl.
10. Propane fuel tanks must be stored outdoors in well
ventilated area out of the reach of children. Do not store
in a building or any other enclosed area.
11. Do not operate the outdoor gas firebowl if there is a gas
leak present.
12. Never use a flame to check for gas leaks.
13. If the outdoor gas firebowl is stored indoors, the propane
fuel tank must be disconnected and stored outdoors.
14. Use care in the transit and storage of empty propane fuel
tanks.

GENERAL USE WARNINGS
1. This outdoor gas firebowl is for outdoor use only.
2. Use only on brick, concrete, stone or other masonry
surfaces.
3. Do not use on lawns, wooden decks, artificial wood decks
or asphalt.
4. Keep the outdoor gas firebowl a minimum of 48 inches
away from buildings, structures, any flammable items and
vehicles.
5. Never use under low hanging tree branches, trellis,
overhangs of any kind including covered porches.
6. Never use gasoline, alcohol or volatile fluids to start or
restart fires.
7. Do not store gasoline, alcohol or volatile fluids in the
vicinity of the firebowl.
8. Never use charcoal or any other solid fuel in this firebowl.
9. The outdoor gas firebowl is for adult use only.
10. Never allow children to use the outdoor gas firebowl.
Children and pets must be closely supervised when they
are anywhere near the firebowl.
11. Children and adults should be alerted to the hazards of
high surface temperatures and should stay away to
avoid burns or clothing ignition.
12. Young children should be carefully supervised when
they are in the area of the appliance.
13. Clothing or other flammable materials should not be
hung from the appliance, or placed on or near the
appliance.
14. Do not leave unattended at any time while in use.
15. Do not move the outdoor gas firebowl when in use.
16. Use caution as surfaces will become very hot while in use.
17. Before each use, make sure the outdoor gas firebowl
is in good working condition.
18. Do not use the outdoor gas firebowl unless all parts
are in place.
19. Do not use on vehicles or boats.
20. Do not use in windy conditions.
21. If the fire goes out during use, turn the knob on the
propane fuel tank to close. Wait five minutes before
attempting to relight.
22. Do not adjust the lava rock or firewood when a fire
is present in the outdoor gas firebowl. Make all
adjustments prior to starting the fire.
23. Users should be aware of the hazards of fire and its
high temperatures. Keep a safe distance to avoid
burning or clothing ignition.
24. Do not store anything in the stone base, under or below
the outdoor gas firebowl during use.
25. Do not use this outdoor gas firebowl for cooking.
26. Do not use any other burning materials than supplied
with the outdoor gas firebowl.
27. Never pour water into the outdoor gas firebowl.
28. Do not use if any part has been under water.
29. Never place clothing or other flammable materials on the
outdoor gas firebowl top or any other part of the
fireplace.
30. Do not lean over the outdoor gas firebowl during use.
31. For proper ventilation, the openings on the stone base
must be kept free and clear.
32. Do not rest feet on the outdoor gas firebowl.
33. Do not allow the outdoor gas firebowl to freeze if it has
been exposed to moisture.
34. Any guard or other protective device removed for
servicing must be replaced prior to operating the
outdoor gas firebowl.
35. Installation and repair should be done by a qualified
service person. The outdoor gas firebowl should be
inspected before use and at least annually by a qualified
service person.
36. More frequent cleaning may be required as necessary. It
is imperative that the control compartment, burners, and
circulating air passageways of the appliance are kept
clean.
37. Use caution after the fire has been extinguished, surfaces
will remain hot for some time.
38. The outdoor gas firebowl must be completely cooled off
before any cover can be used.
39. Cover must be removed when in operation.

LEAK TEST
Perform the leak test in a well ventilated area outside and
where no source of spark can occur. Connect cylinder to
regulator. Turn the on/ off valve at the unit to the "off"
position to pressure the control system. Use a soapy water
solution to check all the connections for leaks before
attempting to light the appliance. If a leak is found or you
smell gas, disconnect the cylinder and turn the valve off. Do
not use the appliance until repairs can be made.
CAUTION: If the burner does not ignite with the valve open,
gas will continue to flow out of the burner and could
accidently ignite with risk of injury.
