WFP22-36 built prior to September 2012 with 4” X 4” front frame tube



CAUTION

• Identify the parts listed below.

• Place the Wing Float Pulverizer in a suitable area

to work with the frame while the wings are

unfolded.

• Make sure all hydraulic pressure is neutralized.

NOTICE

NOTE

The Retrofit procedure is the same for both kits, the only

difference being the Right/Left Hand Hangers, Items 15

and 16, in the parts table. This is due to the Front Frame

Tube dimension.

Do not work on or under this machine unless

securely

blocked and supported by a hoist or

tractor or by other sufficient means!

Understand the procedure before doing the work.

Use proper tools and equipment.

Step 1 • Remove the existing Center Frame Left and Right Hand Bearing Hangers. • See the Part Numbers below that corresponds to your Front Frame Tube size. P/N 175121 for the 4” X 4” Tube P/N 174942 for the 4” X 6” Tube Left Hand Touch up any exposed metal with spray paint provided. Weld the new Bearing Hangers in place. Remove the Left Hand and Right Hand Center Frame Bearing Hangers.

Figure 1-4: Center Frame Bearing Hanger Weld Information Step 2 • Cut the lower part of the Wing Bearing Hanger, P/N 2P226, 10 1/4 inches down from the bottom of the tube. • See Figures 1-6 and 1-7 below for part placement and welding information. • Weld the Bearing Mount Plate (P/N 174880) onto the remaining portion of hanger.

Step 3 • Remove the Clamp on Bearing Hanger (P/N 2P233) by loosening four 5/8” Flange Nuts and removing four 5/8” X 7” HHCS. • Tighten to specification in Torque Chart located on page 1-13. • Attach the new Bolt on Bearing Hanger (P/N 174879) reusing the existing four 5/8” Flange Nuts, 5/8” X 7” HHCS and the Bearing Hanger Clamp.

Step 4 • Remove the existing Stub Shafts (P/N’s 3P054 or 173366) by loosening four 5/8” X 2 1/4” HHCS and 5/8” Washers. • Attach the new Axle Stub Shaft (P/N 173119) reusing the existing four 5/8” X 2 1/4” HHCS and 5/8” Washers. • Orientation of flat on stub is not important. • Tighten to specification in Torque Chart located on page 1-13.

Step 5 All six Trunnion Bearings will be assembled the same except for the location/placement of the 11 Ga. and 14 Ga. Washer Shims. Both Shim Washers can be on the inside between the Stub Shaft shoulder and the Trunnion Bearing, both on the outside, or singularly on either side. • Prior to inserting the 1” bolt, determine if there is a gap between the shoulder of the Stub Shaft and the Bearing. If there is a gap, insert the appropriate Shim Washer/s (11 or 14 gauge).

Step 6 • Touch up any exposed metal parts with the spray paint provided. • Re-tie and secure any wires or hydraulic lines that became loose. • Re-apply the yellow reflector decals. See Fig. 1-11.

General Torque Specifications (rev. 4/97) This chart provides tightening torques for general purpose applications when special torques are not specified on process or drawing. Assembly torques apply to plated nuts and capscrews assembled without supplemental lubrication (as received condition). They do not apply if special graphite moly-disulfide or other extreme pressure lubricants are used. When fasteners are dry (solvent cleaned) add 33% to as received condition torque.
