OPERATION
Tilt Adjustment
The headlamp light pivots on a ratchet. Adjust the tilt angel of the light to illuminate the desired vision
area.
The EXP-LED-HL-X2 has two switches to control the spotlight and the white and colored floodlights. The
flashlight and floodlight functions can be operated independently or together.
Spotlight Operation
To turn on the spotlight, press the spotlight switch. Press again to turn off.
Floodlight Operation
The floodlight switch controls 3 floodlight functions.
First Press: White Floodlight on – Full power
Second Press: White Floodlight on – Half Power
Third Press: White Floodlight off – Colored, LED Floodlight on
Fourth Press: Floodlight function off
WARNINGS
Substitution of components may impair Intrinsic Safety.
To reduce the risk of explosion, do not mix new batteries with old/used batteries or mix
batteries from different manufacturers.
To reduce the risk of ignition of a flammable or explosive atmosphere, batteries must be
changed only in a location known to be non-hazardous.
Risk of ignition – Do not open in a hazardous area.
HEADBANDS
The headlamps include two types of headbands.
Elastic Non-Slip Headband – Use this headband for mounting the headlamp directly to your head. The
non-slip feature will keep the light positioned on the head even with vigorous movement.
Rubber Hardhat Strap – Use the rubber strap on any hardhat. The tacky nature of the strap will keep the
headlamp attached even if the hat is dropped.
CHANGING THE BATTERIES
Use only 3 AA Alkaline, Duracell PC1500, Energizer EN91, or Energizer Lithium L91 Batteries. Lithium
Batteries must be replaced by a qualified technician only.
1. Loosen the battery door screw on the back of the battery pack.
2. Install 3 AA batteries in the pack. Use only approved batteries.
3. Close the battery pack door and tighten the door screw.
