Red Lens and Reflector System for HL-85, RL-85, HL-85-HID and RL-85-HID Spotlights.
This red lens and reflector is a complete assembly. The seven inch lens/reflector amplifies the power of the spotlight while providing a
pure red lens for hunting and other non-white light applications.
Popular with hunters, red lenses are typically a snap on and off application to spotlights. However, when using polycarbonate lenses,
stacking one lens on top of another can greatly reduce light output. Many times there is white light leakage, which defeats the purpose of
the red lens anyway. By creating a complete red lens and reflector assembly, all the light produced by the bulb is passed through a
single lens only. This maximizes light output.
The picture above shows the beam produced on the HL-85-HID model in spot mode. Unlike most red lens configurations, replacing the
clear lens with the red lens (instead of a snap on lens) preserves the beam length and power.
