Instructions / Assembly

Inside Mount Installation (Blindstop)
Blind stop installation mounts the
storm window inside of the brick mold
frame. Measure your window opening in
several locations and use the narrowest
opening measurement. Downsize your
measurements approximately 1/8" to
allow for clearance.
Outside Mount Installation (Overlap)
Overlap installation mounts the storm
window on the outside of your brick
mold frame. When measuring for
overlap installation, allow approximately
1/2" on each side and 3/4" in height for
the flange to overlap the brick mold.
Take several measurements to allow for
variations in the framework.

Installation Methods
Storm Window Installation
1
Do NOT remove the plastic band from window until instructed to do so (applies
only to Two-Track models).
Position window into opening or against trim to check for a proper fit.
Remove the storm window and caulk the existing window where the storm
window will be mounted (caulk the head and jambs only!). *To allow for good
drainage, do NOT caulk the sill.
Position the storm window into the opening or against trim, “squaring up” the
unit. Then install the screws provided into pre-punched holes of the window
flange. Do NOT overtighten the screws or you may crush down the flange.
Remove plastic band (applies only to Two-Track models).
For proper drainage, storm windows should be installed in openings with a sloped sill.
Recommended slope: 7˚

Limited Lifetime Warranty © LARSON 2010. Storm Windows are not designed for use as primary windows. LARSON reserves the right to alter or discontinue any model, specification, warranty, or price without notice.
If your window is slightly too
large for the opening it can be
trimmed to fit.
There are score grooves
provided on the window flange.
Decide on the amount of flange
to be trimmed. Score the
flange in the grooves with a
utility knife. Bend flange back
and forth with a pliers until it
breaks off.
