Guarantee and additional notices
(rechargeable) batteries contain high percentages of reusable substances, so-called „re-
coverable resources“. By ensuring their recovery through appropriate recycling processes
instead of combining them with common waste materials, you make a contribution in
preserving important resources and protecting the environment from harmful heavy metal
substances. Batteries containing pollutants are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out
garbage can and a chemical symbol (Cd, Hg or Pb) which is essential for classification
of the polluting heavy metal. Instructions for removing batteries are provided in the
product‘s manual.
For lithium-based primary and secondary batteries as well as other high per-
formance batteries Only dispose of completely discharged batteries. If a battery is
not completely discharged, precautions must be taken to prevent short circuiting its
terminals, e.g. isolation of the terminals.
Notice about transporting products containing lithium batteries The battery has
been built and tested according to the current UN manual 38.3. Effective protection
against over-pressure, short-circuit, forceful breakage and reverse current are provided.
Refer to the operating instructions for battery data. If no specific safety information is
provided this means the quantity of lithium and energy level are below the currently
applicable limits. In this case the battery, neither on its own nor installed in the device,
is subject to international hazardous materials regulations. The transport of multiple
batteries could be relevant for hazardous materials regulations, please observe the
special conditions (e.g. packaging).
Notice about disposal Electrical devices, mechanical devices, batteries, accessories
and packaging should be recycled in an environmentally appropriate process to recover
valuable raw materials. Please contact your municipal authority for information on
corresponding disposal facilities and comply with the disposal and safety information
at the collection sites.
For EU countries Do not put electric devices into household garbage. The European
directive for scrap electric and electronic devices dictates they must be collected
separately and sent to an environmentally appropriate recycling facility. Electric devices
are marked with an icon of a crossed-out garbage can. Batteries must be removed
from the device before its disposal, the batteries must be disposed of separately.
Notice about product care This product is a precision instrument which must be
handled with care. Do not subject the device to jolts or vibrations. Clean with a soft
cloth and glass cleaner. Transport and storage in original case if included in the scope
of delivery.
