Water quality for LAURASTAR ironing systems

LAURASTAR ironing systems are designed to work with drinkable tap water which is supplied

at home. However, it is advised to use the LAURASTAR filtration systems in order to filter the

scale and lengthen the lifetime of the boilers and irons.

Water that CAN’T be used       Rain water o This water can be saturated with organic substances and it can enable the growth of algae in the water reservoir and this can obstruct the filters of the water circuitry before the pump. Distilled water o Can generate a bad reading of the water level of the S range appliances and overfill the boiler. In this case, the iron spit hot water like a shower.

The inconvenient of such process is the increase of the sodium ions into the water which, with a very high concentration, create in our boilers the transfer of a big amount of water droplets in the steam. When this phenomenon (called priming) occurs, the iron spits water. In order to avoid such problem, recommendations must be given to the customers to filter the water coming from a water softener by using a LAURASTAR filtering system which retain the sodium and inform to drain regularly their boiler. 4.
