GENERAL SAFETY RULES WARNING READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious personal injury. READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE HEDGE TRIMMER • Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
GENERAL SAFETY RULES • Wear heavy long pants, boots, and gloves. Avoid loose garments or jewelry that could get caught in moving parts of the machine or its motor. • Use non-slip, heavy-duty protective gloves when operating the hedge trimmer and when installing or removing blades. • Do not operate the equipment while barefoot or when wearing sandals or similar lightweight footwear. Wear protective footwear that will protect your feet and improve your footing on slippery surfaces. • Do not force tool.
GENERAL SAFETY RULES • In a double insulated appliance, two systems of insulation are provided instead of grounding. No grounding means is provided on a double insulated appliance, nor should a means for grounding be added to the appliance. Servicing a double insulated appliance requires extreme care and knowledge of the system and should be done only by qualified service personnel. Replacement parts for a double insulated appliance must be identical to the parts they replace.

SYMBOLS The following signal words and meanings are intended to explain the levels of risk associated with this product. ELECTRICAL WARNING TO AVOID ELECTRICAL HAZARDS, FIRE HAZARDS, OR DAMAGE TO THE TOOL, USE PROPER CIRCUIT PROTECTION. YOUR HEDGE TRIMMER IS WIRED AT THE FACTORY FOR 120V OPERATION. CONNECT TO A 120V, 15A CIRCUIT AND USE A 15A TIMEDELAYED FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER. TO AVOID SHOCK OR FIRE IF THE POWER CORD IS WORN, CUT OR DAMAGED IN ANY WAY, REPLACE IT IMMEDIATELY. DOUBLE INSULATED (See Figure 1.) This hedge trimmer has a plug that looks like the one shown in Fig. 1.
ELECTRICAL GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS IN THE EVENT OF A MALFUNCTION OR BREAKDOWN, grounding provides the path of least resistance for electric current and reduces the risk of electric shock. This tool is equipped with an electric cord that has a POLARIZED plug. The power cord MUST be plugged into a matching outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with ALL local codes and ordinances. WARNING ALWAYS MAKE SURE THAT YOUR OUTLET IS PROPERLY GROUNDED.
KNOW YOUR HEDGE TRIMMER The safe use of this product requires an understanding of the information on the product and in this operator’s manual as well as a knowledge of the project you are attempting. Before use of this product, familiarize yourself with all operating features and safety rules. (See Figure 2.) CORD RETAINER A convenient cord retainer helps keep the extension cord connection secure during trimmer operation.

OPERATION WARNING Do not allow familiarity with this product to make you careless. OPERATION STARTING THE HEDGE TRIMMER (See Figure 3.) 1. Place one hand on the trigger handle and the other hand on the Pommel handle. 2. Depress the safety switch by thumb, then squeeze the trigger switch to turn on the hedge trimmer. The trimmer will stay on as long as the trigger switch is squeezed. Release the trigger switch will stop unit from working. STOPPING THE HEDGE TRIMMER 1．Release the trigger switch. 2．Allow at least 5 seconds for the cutting blade to stop moving.
OPERATION OPERATING THE HEDGE TRIMMER WARNING Read the safety information for safe operation using the blade. Stand so that you are stable and balanced on both feet. Do not overreach. Inspect and clear the area of any hidden objects. Never use the hedge trimmer near power lines, fencing, posts, buildings, or other immovable objects.
OPERATION WARNING WHEN SERVICING, USE ONLY IDENTICAL REPLACEMENT PARTS. USE OF ANY OTHER PARTS MAY CREATE A HAZARD OR CAUSE PRODUCT DAMAGE. WARNING ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GOGGLES OR SAFETY GLASSES WITH SIDE SHIELDS DURING PRODUCT OPERATION. IF OPERATION IS DUSTY, ALSO WEAR A DUST MASK. WARNING BEFORE INSPECTING, CLEANING, OR SERVICING THE MACHINE, DISCONNECT THE PLUG FROM POWER SOURCE AND WAIT FOR ALL MOVING PARTS TO STOP.
MAINTENANCE CLEANING THE HEDGE TRIMMER Stop the motor and disconnect from power supply. Clean dirt and debris from the body of the hedge trimmer, using a damp cloth with a mild detergent. NOTE: Do not use any strong detergents on the plastic housing or the handle. They can be damaged by certain aromatic oils such as pine and lemon, and by solvents such as kerosene. STORING THE TRIMMER Clean all foreign material from the product. Store it in a well-ventilated place that is inaccessible to children.
WARRANTY We take pride in producing a high quality, durable product. This Lawnmaster® product carries a limited two (2) year warranty against defects in workmanship and materials from date of purchase under normal household use. If product is to be used for commercial, industrial or rental use, a 30 day limited warranty will apply. Warranty does not apply to defects due to direct or indirect abuse, negligence, misuse, accidents, repairs or alterations and lack of maintenance.

ESPECIFICACIONES ELECTRICAS INSTRUCCIONES PARA LA TOMA A TIERRA EN CASO DE MAL FUNCIONAMIENTO O AVERÍA, la conexión a tierra proporciona el camino de menor resistencia para la corriente eléctrica y reduce el riesgo de choque eléctrico. La herramienta está equipada con un cable eléctrico que tiene un enchufe POLARIZADO. El cable de alimentación DEBE estar enchufado en una toma que le corresponda y que esté bien instalada y conectada a tierra según dicten TODOS los códigos y ordenanzas locales.
CONOZCA SU CORTADORA DE ORILLAS El uso seguro de este producto requiere que conozca la información de la herramienta y la que aparece en este manual así como también el proyecto en el que está trabajando. Antes de usar este producto, familiarícese con todas las funciones operativas y reglas de seguridad (Ver figura 2.). CONTENEDOR DEL CABLE Un práctico enganche para el cable ayuda a mantener segura la conexión con el cable alargador durante la función de cortadora de orillas.
ARMADO DESEMBALAJE • Con cuidado, extraiga el producto y sus accesorios de la caja. Asegúrese de que todos los elementos mencionados en la lista de componentes del empaque estén incluidos. • Inspeccione el producto cuidadosamente para asegurarse de que no se haya roto o dañado durante el transporte. • No bote el material del empaque hasta que haya inspeccionado completamente y utilizado satisfactoriamente el producto.

FUNCIONAMIENTO ARRANQUE DE LA CORTADORA DE ORILLAS (ver figura 3.) 1. Coloque una mano sobre la manilla del gatillo y la otra sobre la manilla de empuñadura. 2. Apriete el interruptor de seguridad con el pulgar y luego apriete el gatillo para encender el cortasetos. El cortasetos permanecerá encendido siempre y cuando mantenga presionado el gatillo interruptor. Soltar el gatillo interruptor provocará que la unidad deje de funcionar. CÓMO DETENER LA CORTADORA DE ORILLAS 1. Suelte el gatillo interruptor. 2.

MANTENIMIENTO LIMPIEZA DE LA CORTADORA DE ORILLAS • Detenga el motor y desconéctelo del suministro eléctrico. • Limpie la tierra y los residuos del cuerpo de la cortadora de orillas eléctrica con ayuda de un trapo húmedo con detergente suave. NOTA: No utilice detergentes fuertes sobre la carcasa plástica o sobre las manillas. Algunos aceites aromáticos como el pino y el limón, así como disolventes como el keroseno, pueden producirles daños.
