Maximize battery lifespan
If you intend to store your Ledger Nano X for longer periods, the battery lifespan is best
preserved by charging fully once every few months. Once fully charged, turn off the
device and store it in a cool, moisture-free place.
It's best not store your Ledger Nano X for a prolonged period on a very low charge,
since this may negatively affect battery capacity.
End of life
The battery is designed to last 5 years. Ledger does not provide a battery replacement
program. If battery capacity has degraded beyond being practically usable, the device
can be used by connecting it to a power source using the USB cable.
Export your accounts
Accounts generated by a Ledger Nano X device can be recovered on any (third-party)
hardware or software wallet that supports the same standards as Ledger
(BIP32/BIP39/BIP44).
Before you begin
✓ Note that your 24-word recovery phrase provides full access to your accounts.
Entering your recovery phrase on a computer or smartphone may be insecure.
Avoid doing so if possible.
✓ Carefully select a (third-party) hardware or software wallet. Protecting your
accounts remains your own responsibility.
✓ Contact Ledger Support when in doubt.
Instructions
Use your recovery phrase
1. Choose a BIP39/BIP44 compatible hardware wallet or software wallet.
2. Get your 24-word recovery phrase.
3. Follow the manual of the selected device or service to import your recovery
phrase (also referred to as mnemonic seed).
