7.2.1 Daily cleaning and maintenance
Cleaning the retort lid
• Removewaxfromtheinsideoftheretortlidwiththeplasticscraper
provided. Thoroughly remove all wax deposits from around the lid seal.
• Forconvenience,thelidmayberemovedduringcleaning.Liftthelidto
a vertical position, release the hinge lock and pull the lid toward you.
7. Cleaning and maintenance
Only use the plastic scraper provided when cleaning the retort lid
and seal to avoid damage to the retort lid seal and to the PTFE coat-
ing on the retort lid. Do not damage the edges of the seal with the
scraper.
Cleaning the retort
• Theretortmaybewipedcleanusingaclothmoistenedwithsolvent
(xylene or alcohol) or mild detergent. In particular, make sure that the
air vent holes at the top front of the retort are not dirty.
Cleaning the retort sieve
• Usealcoholorxylenetocleanthestrainerlocatedatthebottomofthe
retort. For convenience, the sieve may be taken out to remove all solid
dirt.
Cleaning the touchscreen
• OntheMENU FUNCTIONS screen press CLEAN TOUCHSCREEN.
• Cleanthetouchscreen.
• PressENABLE EXIT to enable the BACK button. Press BACK to return to
MENU FUNCTIONS.
