For taking pictures of food. Take a picture without flash
for the best result.
[FOOD]
For taking a picture indoors you can get more natural
colour under the indoor light source.
[PARTY]
For taking pictures expressing the atmosphere of the can-
dle lit subject. Be sure to use a tripod and self timer.
[CANDLE LIGHT]
Suitable for taking pictures of your baby. Age can be
displayed with pictures if you set the birthday.
[BABY 1/2]
For taking a picture with night scenery, shutter will be set
to max. 8 sec. Be sure to use a tripod and self timer.
[NIGHT SCENERY]
- When the camera is set to [STABILIZER] and there is very little camera shake,
or if [STABILIZER] is set to [OFF], shutter speed may slow down up to 8 sec-
onds.
- The focus range is 5 m (16.4 feet) to ∞.
- The shutter may remain closed (max. about 8 sec.) after taking the picture
because of signal processing. This is not a malfunction.
- Noise may become visible when you take pictures in dark places.

Birthday/Name setting:
1. Press pq to select [AGE] and then press
u.
2. Press pq to select [SET] and then press [MENU/SET].
3. Use
pqtu to enter the birthday.
4. Press [MENU/SET] to finish.
5. Start from step 1. and select [NAME] if you like to add the name.
To cancel [AGE] and/or [NAME]:
Select the [OFF] setting in step 2 of the ‘Birthday/Name setting’ procedure.
- When you use the flash, the light from it is weaker than usual.

- If [ON] is selected when the birthday or name has not been registered, the
setting screen appears automatically.
