4. Conﬁrm your settings - only possible if the eighth character is

active - by pressing the

SET or INFO button.

•A further sub-menu appears, showing

Reset image numbering?.

5. Select

Yes or No.

The X characters are placeholders.

CHANGING PICTURE FILE NAMES

1. In the main menu (see p. 154/246) select

Image numbering

(page 4 /

SETUP section), and

2. Select

Change file name in the sub-menu.

•The name of the picture ﬁle appears. The ﬁrst character is

marked as ready for editing.

Positions 1-4 can be changed.

3. The numbers and letters are changed by turning the setting dial

(29) or by pressing up and down on the direction pad (30), while

you select diﬀerent positions by pressing

– the

INFO button (31),

– or the

SET button (20),

– or left / right on the direction pad.

The available characters are upper case letters from

A to Z,

numbers from

0 to 9 and the underscore _, and you can scroll

through them in an endless loop.

4. Conﬁrm your settings - only possible if the fourth character is

active - by pressing the

SET or INFO button.

•The setting menu described under 2. appears again.
