2. IN THE VIEWFINDER
2.1 LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes)
(with automatic brightness control, adjusted to
the ambient brightness

Digital display:
– Displays the automatically determined shutter
speed for aperture priority

Indicates that the buer memory is (tempo-

– Indicates (ashing) that exposure compen-
sation is being used

Automatic brightness control is not available for Leica M lenses
with viewnder attachments, as they cover the brightness sensor
1.4, which supplies the information required for this function. In
such cases the displays always maintain a constant brightness.
2.1.2 Two triangular and one circular LED:
– For manual adjustment: Jointly used as light
balance for exposure compensation
– Warning of values below the metering range

With the snapshot prole: Circular LED indicates
the correct exposure, plus right triangular

to indicate possible overexposure or left trian-
gular LED to indicate possible blurring and/or
underexposure
