Charging the battery
Inserting the battery
To charge the battery, insert it into the camera.
• Set the camera ON/OFF switch to OFF
Push to the release slider to the
[OPEN] position and open the card/
battery door
[OPEN] [LOCK]

Completely insert the battery
• Make sure it is aligned correctly and push it in
until it is locked by the gray lever.

Close the card/battery door
• Push the release slider to the [LOCK]
position.

To remove the battery
Move the lever in the card/battery
compartment in the direction of the arrow.

Always use a genuine Leica BP-DC7 battery (→9).
●
Leica Camera AG cannot guarantee the quality of other batteries.
●
Remove the battery if you are not going to use the camera for a long time.
• Store batteries e.g. in a case so that their terminals cannot be shorted by metallic
objects.
●
To remove the battery, turn the camera off and wait until the LEICA indicator on the
monitor goes off. (Failing to wait may cause the camera to malfunction and may
damage the card or recorded data.)
