Taking a Still Picture
• Set the drive mode dial to [ ] (single recording).

Press the shutter button halfway to focus.

• Aperture value and shutter speed are displayed.
(They will flash in red if the correct exposure is
not achieved, except when set to flash.)
• The focus indication is displayed as [ ] in a dark environment, and focusing may take
longer than usual.
• When the Focus Mode is set to [AFF] or [AFC].
– A beep will be emitted when focus is first achieved by pressing the shutter button halfway.
– If AF Mode is set to [Custom Multi], such as [ ] or [ ], the AF area is displayed for a
moment only when focus is achieved for the first time by pressing the shutter button halfway.
