fromLenovo.
TheapplicationiconisdisplayedinLenovoLaunchZoneonlywhenthereareunreadsystemnotications
fromLenovo.See“LenovoLaunchZone”onpage12.Touchtheicontoopenamessageboxtocheckfor
detailedinformationabouttheupdates,andthenfollowtheinstructionstoupdateyourtabletifyouwant.
GettingupdatesfromAndroid
YourtabletreceivesautomaticnoticationswhenupdatesareavailablefortheAndroidoperatingsystem.
WhenyoureceiveanAndroidupdatenotication,touchInstallnow,Installlater,orMoreinfofromthe
pop-upoptionsmenuwhentheauto-noticationisdisplayed.
Youalsocancheckforupdatesmanually.Tocheckforthelatestupdates,dothefollowing:
1.FromthemainHomescreen,touchtheAndroidSettingsicononLenovoLaunchZone,ortouchthe
applicationsiconfromtheactionbarandthentouchSettings.TheAndroidSettingsscreenopens.
2.TouchAbouttablet➙Systemupdates.
3.AscreenopensanddisplaysalltheavailableupdatesfromAndroid.
Note:Ifthereisnoupdateavailable,youwillseeamessagestatingthatyoursystemisuptodate.
4.Ifyouwanttoapplytheupdate,touchRestart&install,andthenfollowtheinstructionstonishthe
installation.Otherwise,touchtheBackbutton.

Traveltips
Usethefollowingtraveltipstotravelmorecondentlyandefcientlywithyourtablet:
1.Whileitissafetoallowyourtablettogothroughthexraymachinesatairportsecuritystations,itis
importanttokeepyoureyesonthetabletatalltimestopreventtheft.
2.Putyourtabletinaprotectivecasewhennotinusetopreventdamageorscratching.
3.Ifyouaretravelingabroad,disablethedataroamingfunctiontopreventunwantedcharges.See
“Disablingdataroamingonmobilenetworks”onpage23.
Traveltipsonairplanes
Ifyoucarryyourtabletintoanairplane,checkthefollowingtraveltips:
1.Ifyouaregoingtousethewirelessservice,checkwiththeairlineforanyrestrictionsbeforeboarding
theairplane.
2.Iftherearerestrictionsontheuseoftabletswiththewirelessfeatureonanairplane,enabletheAirplane
mode.Toenableit,dothefollowing:
a.TouchthetimeareafromthesystembartoopentheStatusDetailspanel.
b.TouchanywhereintheStatusDetailspanel.TheQuickSettingspanelisdisplayed.
c.TouchAirplanemode.
3.Becarefulabouttheseatinfrontofyouontheairplane.Placeyourtabletinasafepositionsothatit
doesnotgetcaughtwhenthepersoninfrontofyouleansback.
