6.ClickthePropertiesbutton.Ifyouarepromptedforanadministratorpasswordorconfirmation,type
thepasswordorprovideconfirmation.ChecktheDevicestatusboxandmakesurethatthedevice
isworkingcorrectly.Ifnot,clicktheTroubleshootbuttonandfollowtheinstructionsonthescreen.
7.ClicktheMonitortab.Checkwhetherthecolorqualityiscorrectlyset,andmakesurethattheother
informationalsoiscorrect.
8.ClickthePropertiesbutton.Ifyouarepromptedforanadministratorpasswordorconfirmation,type
thepasswordorprovideconfirmation.ChecktheDevicestatusboxandmakesurethatthedevice
isworkingcorrectly.Ifnot,clicktheTroubleshootbuttonandfollowtheinstructionsonthescreen.
•Problem:Incorrectcharactersaredisplayedonthescreen.
Solution:Ensurethatyouinstalltheoperatingsystemorprogramcorrectly.Iftheyareinstalledand
configuredcorrectly,havethecomputerserviced.
•Problem:Thescreenstaysonevenafteryouturnoffyourcomputer.
Solution:Pressandholdthepowerbuttonforfoursecondsormoretoturnoffyourcomputer;then
turnitonagain.
•Problem:Missing,discolored,orbrightdotsappearonthescreeneverytimeyouturnonyourcomputer.
Solution:ThisisanintrinsiccharacteristicoftheTFTtechnology.Yourcomputerdisplaycontainsmultiple
TFTs.Asmallnumberofmissing,discolored,orbrightdotsonthescreenmightexistallthetime.
•Problem:MyscreenkeepsblankingwhenIdonotwantitto.
Solution:
–IfyourcomputerispreinstalledwiththeWindows7operatingsystem,youcandisableanysystem
timers,suchastheLCDturn-offtimerortheblanktimerbydoingthefollowing:
1.StartthePowerManagerprogram.
2.ClickthePowerplantab,andthenselectMaximumPerformancefromthepredefinedpower
plans.
–IfyourcomputerispreinstalledwiththeWindows8.1operatingsystem,doingthefollowing:
1.Gothedesktopandclickthebattery-statusiconintheWindowsnotificationarea.
2.ClickPowerOptions➙Showadditionalplans➙Highperformance.
