Replacingthememorymodule

Beforeyoustart,printtheseinstructions.Readtheimportantsafetyinformationﬁrst.

Thistopiconlyappliestothememorymodulethatisseatedinthememoryslot.Thememorymoduleofyour

computermightbeseatedinthememoryslot(ﬁgure1)orsolderedonthesystemboard(ﬁgure2).Ifthe

memorymoduleissolderedonthesystemboard,itcannotbereplaced.

Increasingmemorycapacityisaneffectivewaytomakeprogramsrunfaster.Theoperatingspeedofthe

memorymodulehasdependencyonthesystemconﬁguration.Insomeconditions,thememorymodulein

yourcomputermightnotbeabletooperateatthemaximumspeed.

Toreplacethememorymodule,readthefollowingprerequisitesandthentheinstructions.

Attention:Beforeyoustartinstallingamemorymodule,touchametaltableoragroundedmetalobject.This

actionreducesanystaticelectricityfromyourbody.Thestaticelectricitycoulddamagethememorymodule.

Toreplaceamemorymodule,dothefollowing:

1.Turnoffthecomputer;thendisconnecttheacpoweradapterandallcablesfromthecomputer.Wait

threetoﬁveminutestoletthecomputercool.

2.Closethecomputerdisplay,andturnitover.
