Replacingthememorymodule
Beforeyoustart,printtheseinstructions.Readtheimportantsafetyinformationfirst.
Thistopiconlyappliestothememorymodulethatisseatedinthememoryslot.Thememorymoduleofyour
computermightbeseatedinthememoryslot(figure1)orsolderedonthesystemboard(figure2).Ifthe
memorymoduleissolderedonthesystemboard,itcannotbereplaced.

Increasingmemorycapacityisaneffectivewaytomakeprogramsrunfaster.Theoperatingspeedofthe
memorymodulehasdependencyonthesystemconfiguration.Insomeconditions,thememorymodulein
yourcomputermightnotbeabletooperateatthemaximumspeed.
Toreplacethememorymodule,readthefollowingprerequisitesandthentheinstructions.
Attention:Beforeyoustartinstallingamemorymodule,touchametaltableoragroundedmetalobject.This
actionreducesanystaticelectricityfromyourbody.Thestaticelectricitycoulddamagethememorymodule.
Toreplaceamemorymodule,dothefollowing:

1.Turnoffthecomputer;thendisconnecttheacpoweradapterandallcablesfromthecomputer.Wait
threetofiveminutestoletthecomputercool.
