Solution:Dischargeandrechargethebatteries.Ifyourbatteryoperatingtimeisstillshort,callLenovo

CustomerServiceCenter.

•Problem:Thecomputerdoesnotoperatewithfullychargedbatteries.

Solution:Thesurgeprotectorinthebatterymightbeactive.Turnoffthecomputerforoneminutetoreset

theprotector;thenturnonthecomputeragain.

•Problem:Thebatteriescannotbecharged.

Solution:Youcannotchargeabatterywhenitistoohot.Turnoffthecomputerandallowittocoolto

roomtemperature.Afteritcools,rechargethebatteries.Ifthebatteriesstillcannotbecharged,call

LenovoCustomerServiceCenter.

Thissystemsupportsonlybatteriesspeciallydesignedforthisspecicsystemandmanufactured

byLenovooranauthorizedbuilder.Thesystemdoesnotsupportunauthorizedbatteriesorbatteries

designedforothersystems.Ifanunauthorizedbatteryorabatterydesignedforanothersystemis

installed,thesystemwillnotcharge.

Attention:Lenovohasnoresponsibilityfortheperformanceorsafetyofunauthorizedbatteries,and

providesnowarrantiesforfailuresordamagearisingoutoftheiruse.

Anacpoweradapterproblem

Problem:Theacpoweradapterisconnectedtothecomputerandtheworkingelectricaloutlet,butthe

poweradapter(powerplug)iconisnotdisplayedintheWindowsnoticationarea.Alsotheacpower

indicatordoesnotlightup.

Solution:Dothefollowing:

1.Makesurethattheconnectionoftheacpoweradapteriscorrect.Forinstructionsonconnectingtheac

poweradapter,seeSafety,Warranty,andSetupGuidethatcomeswithyourcomputer.

2.Iftheconnectionoftheacpoweradapteriscorrect,turnoffthecomputer,thendisconnecttheac

poweradapter.

3.Reconnecttheacpoweradapter,thenturnonthecomputer.

4.IfthepoweradaptericonstillisnotdisplayedintheWindowsnoticationarea,havetheacpower

adapterandyourcomputerserviced.

Powerproblems

Printtheseinstructionsnowandkeepitwithyourcomputerforreferencelater.

Ifyourcomputerisgettingnopoweratall,checkthefollowingitems:

1.Verifythepowerbutton.Referto“Statusindicators”onpage6.Thepowerbuttonisilluminated

wheneverthecomputerison.

2.Checkallpowerconnections.Removeanypowerstripsandsurgeprotectorstoconnecttheacpower

adapterdirectlytotheacpoweroutlet.

3.Inspecttheacpoweradapter.Checkforanyphysicaldamage,andensurethatthepowercableisrmly

attachedtotheadapterbrickandthecomputer.

4.Verifytheacpowersourceisworkingbyattachinganotherdevicetotheoutlet.

Ifyourcomputerdoesnotrunonbatterypower,checkthefollowingitems:

1.Ifthebatteriesrunoutofpower,attachacpoweradaptertorechargethebatteries.

2.Ifthebatteriesarechargedbutthecomputerdoesnotrun,callLenovoCustomerServiceCenter.
