Usingtheacpoweradapter
Thepowertorunyourcomputercancomeeitherfromthebatterypack,thebuilt-inbattery,orfromacpower
throughtheacpoweradapter.Whileyouuseacpower,thebatterieschargeautomatically.
Theacpoweradapterthatcomeswithyourcomputerhastwobasiccomponents:
•Thetransformerpackthatconvertsacpowerforusewiththecomputer.
•Thepowercordthatplugsintotheacoutletandintothetransformerpack.
Attention:Usinganimproperpowercordmightseverelydamagethecomputer.
Connectingtheacpoweradapter
Toconnecttheacpoweradapter,dothefollowing:
Note:Ensurethatyouperformtheactionsintheorderinwhichtheyarelisted.
1.Plugtheacpoweradapterintoanelectricaloutlet.
2.Connectthepowercordtothetransformerpack.
3.Connecttheacpoweradaptertotheacpowerconnectorofthecomputer.
Tipsforusingtheacpoweradapter
•Whentheacpoweradapterisnotinuse,disconnectitfromtheelectricaloutlet.
•Donotbindthepowercordtightlyaroundtheacpoweradaptertransformerpackwhenitisconnectedto
thetransformer.
•Beforeyouchargethebatteries,makesurethatthetemperatureisatleast10°C(50°F).
•Youcanchargethebatterieswhentheacpoweradapterisconnectedtothecomputer.Youneedto
chargethebatteriesinanyofthefollowingsituations:
–WhenthebatteryiconintheWindowsnoticationareashowsalowpercentageofbatterypower
remaining.
–Whenthebatterieshavenotbeenusedforalongtime
Chargingthebatteries
Whenyoucheckbatterystatusandndthatthepercentageofpowerremainingisloworwhenthepower
alarmalertsyouthattheremainingpowerislow,youneedtochargeyourbatteries.
Ifanacoutletisconvenient,plugtheacpoweradapterintoit,andtheninsertthejackintothecomputer.
Thebatterieswillbefullychargedinabouttwotothreehours.Thechargingtimeisaffectedbythebattery
sizeandthephysicalenvironment.Youcancheckthebatterychargingstatusatanytimethroughthe
batterystatusiconintheWindowsnoticationarea.
Note:Tomaximizethelifeofthebattery,thecomputerdoesnotstartrechargingthebatteryiftheremaining
powerisgreaterthan95%.
Maximizingthebatterylife
Tomaximizethelifeofthebattery,dothefollowing:
•Usethebatteryuntilthechargeisdepleted.
•Rechargethebatterycompletelybeforeusingit.Youcanseewhetherthebatteryisfullychargedfromthe
batterystatusiconintheWindowsnoticationarea.
•Alwaysusepower-savingmodes,suchassleepmode,andhibernationmode.
