Attention:Theharddiskdriveorsolid-statedriveisverysensitive.Incorrecthandlingcancausedamage
andpermanentlossofdata.Observethefollowingguidelines:
•Replacetheharddiskdriveorsolid-statedriveonlyifyouupgradeitorhaveitrepaired.Theconnectors
andslotoftheharddiskdriveorsolid-statedrivearenotdesignedforfrequentchanges,orreplacement.
•Donotdroptheharddiskorsolid-statedriveorsubjectittophysicalshocks.Puttheharddiskdriveor
solid-statedriveonamaterial,suchassoftcloth,thatabsorbsanyphysicalshocks.
•Donotapplypressuretothecoveroftheharddiskdriveorsolid-statedrive.
•Donottouchtheconnector.
•Beforeremovingtheharddiskdriveorsolid-statedrive,makeabackupcopyofalltheinformation
onit,andthenturnoffthecomputer.
•Neverremovetheharddiskdriveorsolid-statedrivewhilethecomputerisoperating,insleepmode,
orinhibernationmode.
Toreplacetheharddiskdriveorsolid-statedrive,dothefollowing:
1.Disablethebuilt-inbatteries.See“Disablingthebuilt-inbattery”onpage63.
2.Closethecomputerdisplay,andturnthecomputerover.
3.Removethebatterypack.See“Replacingthebatterypack”onpage65.
4.Loosenthescrewsthatsecurethebasecoverassembly1.Thenremovethebasecoverassembly2.
