Computerscreenproblems
•Problem:Thescreenisblank.
Solution:Dothefollowing:
–PressF7tobringuptheimage.
–Ifyouareusingtheacpoweradapter,orusingthebatteryandthebatterygaugeshowsthatthebattery
isnotdepleted,pressF6tomakethescreenbrighter.
–Ifyourcomputerisinsleepmode,pressanykeytoresumefromthesleepmode.
–Iftheproblempersists,followthesolutionforthefollowingproblem.
•Problem:Thescreenisunreadableordistorted.
Solution:Ensurethat:
–Thedisplaydevicedriverisinstalledcorrectly.
–Thescreenresolutionandcolorqualityarecorrectlyset.
–Themonitortypeiscorrect.
Tocheckthesesettings,dothefollowing:
1.Right-clickonthedesktop,andclickPersonalize.
2.ClickDisplayattheleft.
3.SelectChangedisplaysettings.Checkwhetherthescreenresolutioniscorrectlyset.
4.ClickAdvancedSettings.
5.ClicktheAdaptertab.Ensurethatthecorrectdevicedrivernameisshownintheadapterinformation
window.
Note:Thedevicedrivernamedependsonthevideochipthathasbeeninstalledonyourcomputer.
6.ClickthePropertiesbutton.Ifyouarepromptedforanadministratorpasswordorconrmation,type
thepasswordorprovideconrmation.ChecktheDevicestatusboxandensurethatthedeviceis
workingcorrectly.Ifnot,clicktheTroubleshootbuttonandfollowtheinstructionsonthescreen.
7.ClicktheMonitortab.Ensurethatthecorrectdevicedrivernameisshownintheadapterinformation
window.
Note:Thedevicedrivernamedependsonthevideochipthathasbeeninstalledonyourcomputer.
8.ClickthePropertiesbutton.Ifyouarepromptedforanadministratorpasswordorconrmation,type
thepasswordorprovideconrmation.ChecktheDevicestatusboxandensurethatthedeviceis
workingcorrectly.Ifnot,clicktheTroubleshootbuttonandfollowtheinstructionsonthescreen.
9.ClicktheColorManagementtab.Checkwhetherthecolorqualityiscorrectlyset,andensure
thattheotherinformationalsoiscorrect.Ifyouarepromptedforanadministratorpasswordor
conrmation,typethepasswordorprovideconrmation.ChecktheDevicestatusboxandensure
thatthedeviceisworkingcorrectly.Ifnot,clicktheTroubleshootbuttonandfollowtheinstructions
onthescreen.
•Problem:Incorrectcharactersaredisplayedonthescreen.
Solution:Didyouinstalltheoperatingsystemorapplicationprogramcorrectly?Iftheyareinstalledand
conguredcorrectly,havethecomputerserviced.
•Problem:Thescreenstaysonevenafteryouturnoffyourcomputer.
Solution:Pressandholdthepowerbuttonforfoursecondsormoretoturnoffyourcomputer;then
turnitonagain.
