MultiBurnerdrive
ThisdrivecanreadDVD-ROMdiscs,DVD-Rdiscs,DVD-RAMdiscs,DVD-RWdiscs,andalltypesofCDs,
suchasCD-ROMdiscs,CD-RWdiscs,CD-Rdiscs,andaudioCDs.Inaddition,itcanrecordonDVD-R
discs,DVD-RWdiscs,typeIIDVD-RAMdiscs,CD-RWstandardandhighspeeddiscs,andCD-Rdiscs.
UsinganExpressCard,aashmediacard,orasmartcard
YourcomputermighthaveanExpressCardslot,amediacardslot,orasmartcardslot.
Ifyourcomputerhasamediacardslot,itsupportsthefollowingcards:
•SecureDigital(SD)card
•SecureDigitalHigh-Capacity(SDHC)card
•SecureDigitaleXtended-Capacity(SDXC)card
•MultiMediaCard(MMC)
Note:YourcomputerdoesnotsupporttheCPRMfeaturefortheSDcard.
Attention:Whiletransferringdatatoorfromaashmediacard,suchasanSDcard,donotputyour
computerintosleeporhibernationmodebeforethedatatransfercompletes;otherwise,yourdatacould
becomedamaged.
InstallinganExpressCard,aashmediacard,orasmartcard
Attention:
•Beforeyoustartinstallingacard,touchametaltableoragroundedmetalobject.Thisactionreducesany
staticelectricityfromyourbody.Staticelectricitycoulddamagethecard.
•DonotinsertanExpressCardwhilethecomputerisinsleepmodeorhibernationmode.Otherwise,the
computermightnotrespondwhenyoutrytoresumeusingit.
Toinstallacard,dothefollowing:
1.Locatetheappropriatetypeofslotforyourcard.See“Locatingcomputercontrols,connectors,
andindicators”onpage1.
2.Makesurethatthecardiscorrectlyoriented:
•ForExpressCard:Thenotchededgeofthecardisfacingupwardandpointingtowardtothecardslot.
•Forashmediacard:Themetalcontactsarefacingdownandpointingtowardthecardslot.
•Forsmartcard:Themetalcontactsarefacingupwardandpointingtowardthecardslot.
3.Pressthecardrmlyintothecardslot.
