Bydefault,theAlwaysOnUniversalSerialBus(USB)connectorenablesyoutochargesomemobiledigital
devicesandsmartphonesinthefollowingsituations:
•Whenyourcomputerisonorinsleepmode
•Whenyourcomputerisinhibernationmodeoristurnedoff,butconnectedtoacpower
Ifyouwanttochargethesedeviceswhenyourcomputerisinhibernationmodeoristurnedoff,andthe
computerisnotconnectedtoacpower,dothefollowing:
•ForWindows7:StartthePowerManagerprogramandclicktheGlobalPowerSettingstab.Then
selecttheEnableUSBchargefromthecomputerbatteryevenwhenthecomputerisoffcheck
box,andclickOKorApply.
•ForWindows8andWindows8.1:PresstheWindowskeytogototheStartscreen.ClickLenovo
Settings➙Power.ThenselectEnableUSBchargefromthecomputerbatteryevenwhenthe
computerisoffcheckboxunderAlwaysOnUSB.
Note:WhenyouattachaUSBcabletothisUSBconnector,ensurethattheUSBmarkisfacingupward.
Otherwisetheconnectormightbedamaged.
